ultimate sleeper
A few weeks back, my dad and I were talking about what would be the ultimate sleeper car. So I was thinking.. what is a big car, that could handle a poncho 455, and I thought.. Brougham. This is completly hypathetical.. due to me not even having enough money to finance the car I already have. But I was wondering is it possible to drop in a pontiac 455, into a Brougham from the years when they were a little bigger [don't know the years.. sorry I not so knowledgable about the olders]. Drop in a turbo 400 w/ OD, don't know the rear end ratio, but I know it wouldn't need to be too high of a ratio if the transmission has OD. So, what do you guys think? Possible? Impossible? Tell me your thoughts.

Shoot, you oughta know that ANYTHING is possible today. Just carry a lot of cash and an acetylene torch and PRESTO you can shoehorn that big block into the Brougham. You're gonna have to invest in that Turbo 400 tranny your talk'n about cause the stock unit would never handle the power your gonna deliver to the rear wheels. Then, the only problem you gotta figure out is how it that 455 gonna pass the emission standards for that late model Bon-Bon. So, it is possible.

emissions?? lmao!! yeah, right. This thing would be a 110 octane beast! No pump gas here man. But, in MI we don't have emission'* testing. Good thing, because there are some REALLY crappy cars in my town, cars that get better gas mileage because they burn more oil than gas.

Heh.. That'd be fun... 4.11 rear of course, totally plush interior, faded stock paint and streets all around to complete the look, Riding fatties will give you away. stiffen up the suspension with stock-looking parts, swap to EFI and maybe induction. Quite a suprising car then...

hmm.. This is getting interesting, and quite fun, although I know i'd never be able to fund it. Dreams are what keep me going, and lack of finances prevent them :(. I am thinking carburated, EFI is too expensive for the benefits, and I want to work with a carb!! lol.
