It drives really good.

It has some rust.

Do you all think it is worth $800.00

I guess I would have to buy some sheet metal and cut out the rust spots and replace them.

Looks like it needs a lot of work. If your looking or a project car to restore it, then check the frame and underside. The body can be worked on, but the frame is a different story. Look it over real close for rust threw. If the frame is in bad shape, then leave it be.

Oh yes. Look at all contact points. Shocks, springs, cross members, where the frame contacts the body. You don't want to see rust threw on the frame. It can be fixed but is a LOT more more.

yup, Dan is right, if the frame has holes in it, not just surface rust but holes, just walk away.... also don't go by his claim that the parts will cost only 200... for shipping maybe but be prepared to spend from 5K to 10K depending on the degree you want to restore the car.... if you don't know much about restoring a hostoric car, walk away too - the mechanics and body shops will eat you alive.. if you're mechanically inclined, have a garage and tons of patience these cars are really fun and show well... i'm just starting to resto a 69 bonnie here (total basket case) so let me know if you need more info or tips....

Google away, or check eBay, pick up a classic car auto trader, etc.

your local historic car clubs will be your best source of parts, info and tips....

also you can try catalog order shops like AMES at Ames Performance Engineering, Classic GTO Parts, Firebird Parts, and Full Size Pontiac restoration parts.

I have checked ebay daily but unless its an original part in good condition im a little hesitant, I have restored a few cars now and have had alot of "crap" come from ebay sellers.
I have ordered an Ames cataloge and it looks like my best option, I was interested if there were any other resto companies out there.

I agree with what was said above, $800 is an ok price but that looks like alot of work. Check the frame and see the condition. Also, how much sheet metal experience do you have? Replacing a couple of pieces here and there can be alot of fun and challenging but getting into winshield frame replacement is a little more involved. Make sure you know what youre biting into.
They are awesome cars tho and if thats what youre into and you want something to work on then dive in (have lots of extra cash in hand).
