New Engine
I want to get an older Bonnevile eather a 61, 63, or 65 I found one I liked but I currently do not have the money for one I did find one that was nice on ebay with out an engine or transmition and I was wondering if there was enough room for a new block like the one that is in the ram air GTO would one of these fit in the car or not.
The one that I was looking at is here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6417

It would be alot easier to put a same-vintage GTO engine in one of those Bonneville'* than it is to swap a Series II Supercharged engine into your 1993 SE.
Mostly will be motor mounts and maybe some subframe work, but I doubt it -those Bonneville'* have a pretty fairly stout subframe, and if memory serves me correct the Bonneville motor was souped up and stuck in the Tempest Body with the Bonneville subframe(?) and that'* what made it a GTO (mechanically aside from the trans and rear-end).
Good luck.
P.*. My uncle has a pristine 1963 Bonneville 2 dr hrdtp with under 40k on it is a cream puff -but the 389CID/2brl just lacks the snort his 1966 Chrysler New Yorker 4 Dr Hdtp has with it'* 440CID/4brl engine with factory 'Foil Pack' option which gives it 390 HP and gobs of torque.

Too bad my dad isn't gonna do that with his 1956 Olds 98 Holiday 4 Dr Hdtp -he just finished rebuilding the Olds Rocket 328 engine and trans completely, and for now it'* just a single 4-brl, but he'* got his eye open for a factory 3x2 setup for it, which would really give it some go -definitely will be fun keeping in tune though.

The best bet for a heavy Bonneville is cubic inches.
I'm working on a stroked 400 to 461 cubic inches for my 64. The stroker kit Eagle sells today can't be beat.
The Ram Air 400 engine is a high rever and better suited for a lighter Tempest (GTO) or Firebird with low 4.11- 4.56 rear end gears.
The heavy cars like big cubes with high 2.56-3.08 rear ends.
