Default Red Sled flummox-free for now

Been a while but I wanted to say my '66 is once again a daily driver in '05 . . . a trip in the L. A. rainstorms . . . brakes vanish after plowing through a flooded intersection . . . then I nurse them back to life, nervously, until the next red light . . .

But it'* a gas to drive and turns heads everywhere. Like Queen Latifah in a red dress.

Record gas prices - what, me worry? It'* always 1966 in my Bonneville.

Well, if it was 1966 Outside your Bonneville, gasoline would be about 30 cents a gallon. Of course your job would probably be paying ya about $1.25/hr but, hey, it'* 1966. Enjoy your ride, I'm sure it'* a gas.

Ol' Timer, you got it straight.

Everybody'* talking about the record prices of gas. But two dollars and change per gallon, what does it mean? It'* not the same dollar. People might have been pretty happy making $1.25 an hour in 1966 but they might be unhappy making ten times that now. You can argue over the fine points of statistics but I'll bet things are a wash in the end.

Meaning it'* still 1966 in my Bonneville. Not a bad place to be. But what I meant to say, Ol' Timer, is that you got it going. A level head and all. What'* up with you?
