Two minor problems put away... Now facing a HUGE one :/
Alright... I just went out of town and away from computers and cars for two weeks... Just wandering arround the nature. -Had my car sprayed and the hud ornament replaced while I was away...
Seriously, I'm thinking about hooking the hud ornament directly to the car'* battery, so that no one will be able to decapitade my car again!!!
Anywayz, I noticed that the base of the car (the underwagonmetalthingy, please excuse my language problems) is heavily rusted and about to break appart!!!
There'* no way that my car will pass this years "official car inspection" with this thing going on!
What can I do!?
I mean, I just looooove this car and I'm not ready to let it go.
Do I have to have a new one built, or is there a magic sollution to this? (yes, I still believe in santa!).
P.*. here'* a recent picture of the car: http://this.is/alliat/myndir/Bonneville.jpg
(warning: pic size: 900k, may take some time to load on slower internet connections)

Wow. Very impressive condition.
I'm not sure where your rust is (can you shoot a pic of it or describe exactly where?)
Clean as much as you can, then use a chemical rust converter. If necessary, have 1/8" steel plate welded over the bad areas. Hide the damage, and add strength at the same time.

Thanks!
Well the rust is worst at the right corner of the back of the car... As the car is now, now rust is visible unless you actually crawl under the car. It is the main "beam" in the right-rear, It looks like it'* coming appart... Pretty bad.
But this plan with the rust converter and the steel plate sounds pretty promising... I think I'd better check it out before the winter comes.
