Default Malibu Hood Latch

When I try my remote start the lights blink twice and the horn beeps 3 times. Everything on my fob works. So I was wondering if there is a way to test the hose latch sensor?

There are three wires. I believe black, purple, and orange. Between which wires and when it’* closed or open should I have continuity.

Unable to get schematic to load to this page, soo. switch terminal A (switch is normally open) and pnk/blk wire goes to thru under hood fusew block X3 terminal B10 to X2 terminal F1 then to the BCM X1 terminal 69.switch terminal B(switch is normally closed)PU wire, goes to under hood fuse box connector X3 terminal A5 to X2 terminal A8,then to BCM connector X1 terminal 70. Switch terminal C black wire is ground G103 on the left strut tower. Also remember that remote start is inhibited if there is a SES light. Also check the brake/cruise switch

OK. It is a dual switch.

With three wires on a two-position, OP could just go through the possible combinations with a continuity test while testing the switch open and closed:

wire1>wire2
wire1>wire3
wire2>wire3

If in each of the three combinations, both [open] and [closed] aren't observed on the meter, probably a bad switch.
