2018 Impala LT PB start FOBs fight each other
Had an issue with a FOB for the car, bought two new ones and programmed them using an Xtool D7 scanner. Programmed both FOBs at the same time, programmed as all fobs lost, original fob nowhere near the vehicle.
Both programmed FOBs work individually, that is when only one is present in the car.
When both FOBs are in the car it acts as though there is no programmed FOB present. A FOB must be placed in the pocket for the car to start.
Does anyone understand what the issue here could be? i could reprogram both FOBs but hesitate to do anything until I have some other opinions on this.
I am not as comfortable working on this system of the car as i am with others. A mess up here could make it totally inoperable and require a dealer to gouge me.

That'* weird.
I'd try programming them in again . . . however, probably best to wait until you're back home.

I'm home. I wouldn't consider doing anything like this were I anywhere else. I have access to a dolly here and a truck to pull it with.
Just wonder how two fobs programmed same time with same equipment could cause issues when they are together.
I was able to get out of the car with one I had on me and had the wife start the car with the other one- an it worked fine.
With both fobs i the car it wouldn't start unless a fob was put in the special pocket.
Very odd!
I will try to reprogram after the weather improves!
