if its a 94 it should have a 700r4 tranny which will bolt up to a sbc. u will need the wiring harness and pcm, and prolly change motor mounts... and maybe a couple other things

Best bet is to find a donor car... I highly recommend it. That way if you are missing little things, you aren't paying out the kiester to get them. Try to find a wrecked Camaro before it hits the junkyard.

Or you could do a sweet *** 3500 build. It'* been done a couple of times in F-bodys. N/A, a good 3500 build will get you 275hp and 248tq, or you can boost it to 7psi and get 331hp and 335tq, or 12 psi and 381hp and 353tq. But of course I'm partial to the 60*v6 motors.

You will need a different transmission because in 1994 the 4L60E that'* in your car has the bellhousing for a 60*V6. You're need a transmission for a 90* V6 (3.8 and 4.3) or preferred V8 (which is 90*). If you go with a 700R4, 200R4, 350 Turbo, or 400 Turbo, then you won't have to worry about the computer controlling the transmission and they are usually cheaper (sometimes). Also have to worry about what torque arm you are going to use.

Next, decide what motor you are going to run. LT1, LT4, or any of the LS series motor would be the most logical motors to go with since they don't have distributor. If you want with a Gen 1 Chevy motor or any other GM brand old V8s then you might have problems using a distributor, since the back part of the motor would be tucked under the cowl panel.

You would need the right computer to control the motor (if you are going fuel injection). A new/used wiring harness for the motor, computer, and transmission (depending on if you use an electronic transmission).

The rearend might hold up for a while depending on how much horsepower your motor puts out.

Depending on which transmission you go with you might need a different driveshaft. I "think" right now that Camaro has a 2 piece driveshaft and I would change it out to a 1 piece driveshaft anyways.

Have to move your motor mounts. Have to change to V8 headers or V8 stock manifolds. I wouldn't use the V6 front springs, I would go for the V8 front springs. I would also upgrade the radiator like a 2 core or 3 core.

That'* all I can think of right now. Like someone else suggested, get a donor car. Look for any 4th gen (93-02) Camaro - Z28/SS or Firebird - Formula/Trans Am/Firehawk. All those models came with only V8s.
