Default Anyone recognize any of these parts???

I have a 1949 Mercury with a 350 SB engine and trans??? The old man I bought it from didn't know anything about it. except that it ran but needed some work. And being a sucker for an old cruiser I threw caution to the wind along with my cash.

Any help identifying parts would be greatly appreciated.

Engine type or year?
Steering wheel, etc. etc.....

Thanks again,
Pacoloco

The tilt column/steering wheel appear to be mid 70'* Chevy. Could be out of a truck.

Looks like a nova column maybe just the wheel..The motor is obviously 86 and older probably somewhere in the mid 70'* to late 80s'*.but there are casting numbers on the read of the block right by the drivers side firewall if you get those we can tell you the year of the motor

Paco -- Very Cool old lead shed - always liked the 49

here is a site for chevy engine codes - code should be on passenger side top back of engine by firewall - chart should tell you year of block

Engine is between a 77 and 83. 76 engines were painted orange and 83 they were changed to black. The grille is a 55 DeSoto. Seats and door panels appear to be recovered originals. I helped build a 50 Merc lead sled about 5 years ago.
