Cobalt immobilizer
Hello Everyone
I have a customer that had his car broken into 08 Cobalt
The ignition and the immobilizer was all messed up
So the customer got all the parts
I replaced everything {keyed the lock to be the same as the door}
So I have the Gm Tech 2 but cant get into the immobilizer to put a vin #
into it Do I have to have the Gm web service to do this
I am sure the vin has to be installed in it
Any help will be great full

Is it safe to assume the Tech 2 is updated to 2008?
If the Tech 2 can't communicate with the module in question, then there must be a bad connection with the Class 2 data bus. Or can it see it, but you can't change anything?

I don't know what more to offer for advice. Not too many people here have ever really played with Tech2'*.
