Default 1986 chevy scottsdale auto trans dripping

My transmission was worked on to stop dripping when I parked it wrong. They plugged up a breather hole in yoke but that didn't work, still leaks. Not the end seal on trans but I need a rubber ring that goes around the yoke shaft.I think. Do you have a picture of this so I can take it to parts house and show them what I need. Do yall have another Idea? Thanks, Big Nick

Looks like we need to know the type of transmission that you have. With it being a 1986MY and a stock 305 we can guess that it is likely a THM700-R4 .

Is this correct?

Does it have 2WD or 4WD ?

Can you get us a picture of the leak and related parts?

I can't say I know of any vehicle that came stock with a 305 and a THM400. 305'* usually came with a THM350 or 700-R4 in automatic pickups. Your description sounds like a THM350. Check this out and then we can be sure:

Does [parking it wrong] mean parking front-of-car uphill? . . . or downhill? . . . or ?

Who did the work?

Do you have a written description of the the diagnosis and the work done?

Did any kind of warranty come with this work?
