Default 06 Impala struts or axle replacement...??

I got in an accident a week ago and my insurance won't pay since no one was at fault. My front passenger side wheel is busted pretty bad the strut got bent, axle has some sort of oil on it, and my tire touches the top of the fender (car runs and starts but wheel is scraping up against the fender). My key also broke in the ignition and needs to be taken out (any tips on this also would be appreciated!) Took some pics of what I thought was broken.

I don't know what this is called but it bent pretty bad.

Axle has some kind of brownish oil

Can you see, the strut is bent badly (needs replacement)

Is this from the axle?

This is a better look. Can this be fixed or does it need replacement?

Well, if another vehicle hit you, and the insurance company won't pay, it'* obvious they found you at fault, or equally to blame.....

As for the pictures, yes, the axle boot is leaking....the strut looks bent.....hard to tell if there might be tranny damage, or lower control arm, or other front end damage, or alignment problems.....

Tranny is good, engine is good, radiator, fans,etc..no front end damage just the side. Actually it'* quite the conundrum. Both insurance companies are refusing to pay (mine and the other drivers) and they both state that it'* the other parties fault and the police report was very vague and did not list who was at fault. No citations were issued to me or the other driver.

Like Tech II mentioned it'* obvious that you have a damaged strut and torn cv boot with the grease leaking out. It also appears that there is transmission fluid leaking from the transaxle where the drive axle comes out, at the very least I would suspect a damaged bearing and seal, maybe more. As far as the insurance issues I assume you were relying on uninsured motorists coverage and not collision. It sounds like there is collusion between the 2 insurance companies, if it was me I would contact your insurance company again and tell them to either deal with you in a fair manner or deal with the state insurance commissioners office and/or your attorney.

I can't see any transmission fluid (maybe the dirt/grease is hiding it). I wasn't relying on uninsured motorist since the other driver has insurance. I wasn't expect transmission damage. I can fix strut and axle but transmission is an expensive job.....Looks like I'm stuck for now

Default wheel bearing

Looks like I'm stuck fixing the car myself as both my insurance and the other decided no one was at fault.

Anyway, I was hoping to get some tutorials or tips on replacing wheel bearing. How hard are they to replace? My mechanical skills are 'ok' but not professional. What tools would I need?
