I'm suspecting intake gaskets. They are more prone to failure than head gaskets.

Yes listen to Mike I did hundreds of intake jobs on the 3.1 and 3.4 engines. I even got to were I wouldn't pull the rear valve cover. I made a tool to grab the end of the rocker arm to pull the push rod out. And I would sneak the intake back under the valve cover.

After you get the intake off I suggest replacing the O-ring on the oil pump drive while your in there.

I got the intake off Tuesday.I had to work some where else on Wednesday [on a dang Dodge ]....Thank you 75 Racer,I got the pushrods problem figured out.The gaskets are tore all in to pieces, probably where the water is getting in.I`m going to spend a few days cleaning.

Remember what I said about the oil pump drive. I usually add a distributor gasket from a V-8 as insurance. Found this pic describing what I'm talking about.

I got it back together today.I`m letting it drain until Thursday before putting in oil.I washed the top good, the oil pan is bad dirty.
