Cadillac Brougham 1991 5.7l lack of ballz: help!
Hi! My 91 Caddy 350 engine isn't in the most awesome of shapes. It lacks power, misfires, guzzles 23L per 100km, and shakes.
However, for as long as it'* cold, it runs kinda really well, it only pisses me off when it'* at normal temperature.
It had a code 32 error ( EGR ). I removed the EGR valve, cleaned it and cleaned the ports ( there was LOTS of **** there ) but I didn't have a vacuum gauge on hand to check for propper working order. However, the check engine light stopped turning on after I cleaned it.
It was still lacking juice and shaking and misfiring.
I gave it a seafoam treatment. Same, still misfires and everything.
I'll be checking the EGR properly next time I open the hood (weather people announce a week of rain, how great -.-'), but for now, except for the EGR, what else would you guys check? Like I said, it starts really well, runs very well when it'* cold and starts being an *** when it turns hot. It doesn't take a single drop of oil or prestone. It also "clutters" when accelerating.
The beast you're helping me repair.

Oh, but to bring a little positive : I finished replacing the power steering pump this friday. I was waiting for that accomplishment to go for the 1st run of the year (yes, it was stored last winter, as well as for the last 2 complete years before)
Even though it'* badly running, it still brought a smile in my face to finally give it a run ( I had the chance to use it like 3-4 times since I bought it last year -.- )

More pictures : The hybrid pressure hose I made since I had to cut the original one because the fitting was dead jammed in the steering gear!
