sounds like you got it figured out then. i have had issues with end-seals before and i normally just use black permatex anyway, should work for you

Problem Solved,

But you won't believe the fix. The worse leak was around cyl. 2 on the inside. It was causing the fuel trim to go nuts. If you look at the bolt locations, you'll find that the four corner locations are not in far enough to give even pressure on those end intake ports. The fix was a large flat washer about 1 1/4 dia. and a small hole to pass the intake manifold bolts through. There is a web piece that extends from the intake runner to the bolt boss. Granted the washer doesn't fit flat on the boss and it rides up on that web. That's the key. It exerts pressure on the web and in turn exerts more force to the inside seating surface of the intake manifold. When I put the washers in the fuel trim settled down to where it should be. How's that for a fix......
