Can any one help me. I have a sand car with a northstar. would like info on it. What it came out of, the year, HP, Tourqe. So I know what I can do for mod. The front right # is 12555058-42 and the back right# is 12555062-12Thanks

These are the basic groups of interchange.
92-95 OBDI Air density induction
96-99 OBDII mass air flow (MAF)
00-04 redesigned heads with rollerized valve train & induction & other changes
rear drive N*'* are quite different from the front drive engines.
10 fasteners on the intake cover of the 92-95'
4 fasteners on the intake cover of the 96-99'

Coil over plugs on the 00-04' (no plug wires)

The 4.0 liter Olds Aurora N* looks identical to the cads.
Among all 3 front drive groups they are all divided into 2 sub groups the 8th digit of vin "9"(300HP) & vin "Y"(275hp).
If the motor came out of a sandrail you need to see what PCM is controlling the engine or the transmission code if using a 4T80E. Thers is a number on the front of the bank 1 valve cover identifying the engine.
the 92 to 99 has coolant crossover that looks like this.

The 00-04 the throttle body is part of the coolant crossover.
