What is the P.E.D. Connector for on my L67? (New Pics)
I was changing the back valve cover gasket, and I noticed that there was a connector dangling. I looked at it and the head of the connector was broken off like this...
The connector says P.E.D. on one side and has a number 6 on the other side. I have not turned the car over to see if it acts differently, first I would like to know what this connector regulates. Any info on it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I don't think it is, all the connectors to my injectors are counted for. I thought that too when I saw it dangling to the head of the other connector it was supposed to be connected to.

Cool I got new pics of what it is supposed to connect to...
Sorry for the dirty engine bay. I did not have a chance to clean it after getting oil all over it after changing the gasket. Do these pics help?

Yeah, that will be a coolant temp sensor. There will be one underneath the TB, as well. One is for the PCM, and one for the gauge, I believe. If your gauge reads normal, your PCM is flying a little blind. Get a new one. Be prepared for a little coolant to come out. And put some sealant on the threads so it won't leak.
