Ouch. Sorry.

Based on the connectors alone you'll be in for an adventure at minimum if you attempt it. I'd look for a different donor.

Curious if there'* hope for the old transaxle: What does it do wrong?

I would say to rebuild, and make sure you have an overkill cooler on it.

If your transmission is roasted, and not suffering from a fragged differential, I suspect you are not pushing excessive power numbers.

It'* just so nice when people explain statements. Leaves much to learn from what happened.

well when i push on the accelerator i dont move very fast until i reach about 15 mph then if runs normally i believe. but at a completely stop i dont move like i should be and i cant go past 2500 rpm

i was considering rebuilding the trans but idk how difficult that would be.

Based on just that info only, and you think the trans is roasted?

Sounds like its starting out in 3rd. Which is default when the trans loses power.

I suggest checking all fuses and looking for all codes.

What Mike said ^^^^^

Sounds like an electrical issue, not a transaxle-overhaul roasted guts issue. The transaxle will start in 3rd gear when it loses electronics. I believe you can manually select 2nd when it'* in this mood.

Either way, check the stuff that Mike said. If those look good, check electrical connectors and wiring.

pulled codes when i parked it and i got 1864 which is tcc solenoid code, which is why i thought it was shot. Thought id have to rip it apart to replace the solenoid.
dont even know where the solenoid is located

You don't even WANT to know where that solenoid is. If this was a RWD transmission, you'd have it replaced in about 30 mins. This will take a few hours even to an experienced tech.

i know its inside but just general location.

I know that i have to pull my sub frame and then pull the trans. Then maybe replace the solenoids IF they are bad.

Actually, it'* easier to remove the side cover of a 4T60E, than a 4T65E, because of the mount....

But that code is not the cause of your 1st gear start....proper diagnosis is imperative.....you could be pulling a transmission apart when it could be a harness problem....

You will need a schematic of the Transmission harness, to check that everything is ok going into the tranny....
