stalling/wont start 92 regal

no signs of problems untill the other day...starts fine and warms up for about 5 mins, during which the idle drops, becomes rough, and shudders a little. I began driving, less than 1 mile trip it stalled a couple times, seemed to while braking or coasting. fired up after each time with maybe a little hesitation. I get there and it stalls and wont fire up. I just 'touched' the plug wires around the coil pack and was able to start up, idle seemed normal and made it home no stalling.

next day starts up first try, idle goes weak and dies seconds later. now wont fire up at all.

it also seems to have gave a check engine light - not sure if that light came on before while it's cranking. btw it's the 3.8 with 250km's

When was the last timed you "tuned" this car up? This could be the usual suspects----plugs, ignition wires, air filter, gas filter. It could also be a "Bad" tank of gas. A bottle of Gas Treatment might help. The code stored when it threw a "Check Engine" also might give us a clue if you can retrieve that code for us.

If you have an autozone, advanced, pep boys, or similar store near you they usually will pull the engine codes for free for you. If you can get us the code, we'll be able to better diagnose the issue. Also, looked for cracked vaccuum hoses as well as checking the other stuff mentioned above.

It was able to start up the next day and has been fine since. I saw no problem vac lines or loose, was told it was recently tuned up - wires and fuel filter look new. Seems to be good for now so I just hope it doesn't leave me stranded when it happens again.

I was also wondering if there are any online manuals available for me? Thanks for the replies!
