problem solved. after enough lube to fill an adult bookstore, adjusting the slider'* track and removing the old grease its smooth as butter. even in the 35 degrees and pouring, which usually made it where they wouldnt move at all. i improvised and used my tarp. cause its been raining 48 hrs and isnt gonna stop for another 48.
it actually tore the seal/track there is so much friction.

Got the same problem with my 99 Ultra, except worse. It was hanging only in cold / wet weather but now does it all the time. I have a few questions for eltatertoto ...

How does the window attach to the regulator? Are there bushings or something that can wear? My front left window actually rocks front-rear and I'm wondering how that'* possible.

The window guide (channel, glass run 25699760/59) is still available for about $75. I'd be willing to replace that instead of the regulator "module" ($500+) if that would solve the problem once & for all.

I've lubed the channel with silicon grease (SylGlide) and had fair results; made it better for a while but it didn't last. This is the driver'* side window and I want it fixed permanently (well, for another 10 yrs lol). What parts do I need to replace?

Thanks

heres a video, i figured being able to see the entire regulator would help you understand better than me just typing.

hope it helps!

Motors do tend to wear out and provide less power than new. Lots of times, a simple motor replacement is all that is needed to give it more juice.

That, and lubing up the track. Be sure to use silicone grease, or a petrol free lube, as any petroleum based grease or spray will RUIN your window seals!

in my case, it was all the track and regulator. the motor in my door actually snapped a tooth from trying to force the window up. I had to swap in a junkyard motor from that regulator when i fixed the window.
