Shifter interlock

Was troubleshooting interlock system 99 regal. Slaved in a used switch for brake light/ interlock, no help. What is second switch at brake pedal with single wire to it? the one with 2 plugs is brake light/ interlock correct? maybe second one is cruise? Anyway once you manually unlock shifter once and don't shut car off you can shift in and out of park all day until you turn car off, then have to do it manually again. Any help is appreciated.

I'm signing into this thread so I'll know if you get a solution. From reading other similar threads, it sounds like it's the park interlock solenoid. I have the same annoying, intermittent problem.

i cant really tell what you're talking about, the car wont come out of park if its on? sounds like a solenoid that isnt engaging. I build shifters for chrysler and honda and from the sounds of it your solenoid isnt engaging when you hit the brake pedal.
