i wouldnt give 5 bucks for delco struts.

and the fuse for the "elc" i think its labeled is one of the big fuses in the maxi fuse center underhood pass side

Thanks, my car needs some work/cleaning underneath, but the years have been kind to it.
I see you have a bit of rust going on under there, not too get off topic, but I'd consider doing something to slow it down in the future if you can, I have some areas in the front starting, and I was going to use something to clean the areas, then coat them with some POR-15 to slow the rust down.
Here is a cleaner, surface prep, and the POR-15, if you are able to get it up on a lift to do that it would be easier that way.




As for those hoses, you can replace those easily, they are pretty bad, once you remove them you are going to need hand cleaner, unless you wear gloves.
I'd drive to your nearest auto parts store, cut the car off, and remove the hose there, it is not too hard to do, it will fall apart, and leave your hands black without gloves though.
Take the hose in and have them match it up, and get yourself 2 feet worth for around 4.00, then you can either put the hose back while there, or drive home and do it there, I could not find out the exact size, but I vaguely remember it being 1/4" EVAP hose.

The only AC Delcos I'd get for the rear are the best they make, they do have a few cheaper ones that are not as good.

For the front I'd go KYB'* for sure, but if I went OE with the AC Delco'* it would only be these.

Wow, PO-15 looks like awesome stuff, I may have to try some of that out!

I'm gonna try to get some replacement hoses today after I get off work, hopefully I can get something that works. Just lightly touching one of the hoses last night pretty much did it in, unfortunately. Thanks for attaching all of the pictures you have, I haven't found anything that helpful online.

Yeah the PO-15 is supposed to be great stuff, I have not used any myself, but have heard great things about it.
Good luck getting the hoses, they should have what you need.

I wish I could find a little more info on the compressor for the both of us, those hoses are not the hoses that send air to the struts, but that nipple will allow you to lube the compressor, I think those may have to do with the air dryer, but as to why the one hooks to the under-body of the car I am not sure.
One of these days I'll pick up my factory service manual to see if I can find more info on the compressor, and how it all works exactly, I know the gist of it, but not everything..

I found a better diagram on our air compressors, where I suggested oiling is the compressor which is #18, new that thing sells for 631.90, ouch!

Yeah, that is why most just opt to get the gas struts, I went with air again because I have a friend with two extra pumps, and he said I could have one for the price of the shipping, since he went gas struts..
This is also why an occasional lubing of machine oil is a good precautionary measure to take.

My order of Hoppes'* oil came in the other day, I may climb under the car and oil her up today. Last week I replaced the rotted hoses down there with new lines, it seems to have helped.

I figure I'll have to drop the compressor to get to that #18 spot with this oil. However, I'm still on the fence with replacing the worn struts with these air struts, or just going to gas, since I can't really say how much longer this compressor is going to hold out..

if you get the oem type struts and the compressor goes out you can get the manual fill kit, cheap and dont have to adjust it that much

I have that in my wish list on Amazon in case that happens, and I cannot get the compressor from my friend.
