Default cv shaft chg ? help on a 99 Park AVe

to chg the cv shaft do I need to pop out the tie rod or ball joint ?? If so hats a good way to do it w/o damage to the rubber seal ?

You can do it without removing the ball joints. I believe there is enough room to get the axle out with the wheel turned. Or, you can also remove the wheel hub, then the axle will slide right out with ease.

humm i did one on my 98 bonnie but i dont remember having to do anything with the tie rod or ball joint

BUT can it be done by removing the wheel bearing and NOT dealing with the tie rod etc ?? Everytime I take a tie rod or ball joint I tear the rubber boot

couldnt tell ya ive never done it that way im sure you could do it by reomving the hub assembly...but i may be wrong and if i am sorry

Yes, you can remove the axle threw the hole the wheel hub goes in to.

Isnt that shaft alot bigger then the hole for the bearing ?? Seems like where is booted is alot larger...
