Brighter than 3057 Bulbs (Tail Lights)
Ok so the Park ave as far as I know has
3057 bulbs which are (dual filament) 26.9 watts & 6.7 watts
3157 bulb which are (dual filament) 26.9 watts & 8.3 watts
any other brighter bulbs that will work with rear and not hurt sockets?

LED lights are brighter than normal bulbs, and they draw less power. Stay away from the cheap Chinese junk on ebay.

I run 3157 exclusively.
As stated, LEDs are brighter, but make sure they fire in all directions or else they won't look right and will actually end up being "dimmer".

The ratio in candle power (40/3) as above would be best using bulb 3457 which is 28.5 / 8.3 watts. The 3157 only brightens the tail watt not the brake at 26.9/8.3 watt compared to the stock bulb 3057 26.9/ 6.7 watt.
LED'* are too expensive for the PA as I think there is 6 or 8 bulbs back there. Also resistor issues?

Good to know on blink=resistor for LED'*.
I decided the quick easy way was to do all 10 bulbs into 3457.
I used the GE NightHawks for best illumination.
Took off the lid housing first and did the 6 bulbs to 3547.
Note the bottom reverse is not lit and empty!
There was condensation in the right trunk lid lens...
I had to find another rubber seal. Who would leave a previous job like this?
Then did both sides of inside trunk with 2 bulbs per corner side and is definitely brighter.
Dont mind the camera job I guess they are bright with brakes on (want too look yellow)
but they are actually still red. Just brighter by 1.6 watts over the 3057 OEM'*.

Considering the 3057 stock bulbs were 26.9/6.7 watt and how thick the lenses are, you could barely tell when the lights were on especially if sunlight was hitting the rear.
This is a much needed upgrade to the 3457 bulbs. Much better on road visibility now.
At night I think the GE NightHawk bulbs did well with the extra 1.6 watts.
Now you definitely know at night when the brakes come on!
Possibly I will do the front turn & Park lamps next if I can find 3457 in yellow.

looks good. i cant stand the design for the trunk light. theres no need for that many nuts lol. ive got my tails tinted pretty dark, also. ive been toying with the idea of buying one of those led tailgate brake lights that hook up to a hitch plug and hiding it under the trunk lic and tail lights. there seems to be enough room there for it.
