Hey everyone, back in march i had starting, stalling, acceleration issues after ive drivin in the rain... So approaching tht problem i installed new icm, coil packs, plugs, & wires, also a new, tps.. After doing so i drove in the rain and no more problems.
Untill today. Its storming hard. I took the wife to work. And no problem at all. Car sat in the garage for maybe 2 hours. And i get ready to head to the store and car would start very rough and die, but i kept trying and eventually it leveld it self out but still idling a little rough. Ive made it to the store and back. And still same thing. Any one knows wat this can be!?

Could be IAC not opening far enough for a "cold" start.

Next time it does it, try holding the accelerator open just a crack. Then attempt to start it. If it fires right up, likely its the IAC valve.

Ok, ill hav to give that a try... Let u kno the reaults.

Went out and started it, and started exactly how u said.. So i ran and bought a new IAC and installed it. Old one was pretty dirty & old.. But now a whole no aray of problems.. It seems as if im having a misfire or 2 and my trans acts as if it doesnt wana shift at times.. But i think tht maybe due to loss of power with a misfire.. Gonna try swaping the plugs.. Wats a good set of plugs!?

I know you changed your TPS sensor, but just out of curiosity, did you change like how I have shown in the video?

Do you have a K&N oiled air filter by chance?
I'm not going to get into the whole debate I have seen about them on many forums, but I will say that I have heard if a filter is slightly over-oiled, then when it rains the humidity in the air can cause a little of the oil to come off and get on the MAF'* thermistors, I am not sure how true that is, as to me it does not make sense because oil and water do not mix, but I suppose it is possible.
I'd remove the MAF, and clean the thermistors well with some MAF cleaner, then see if there is any change.

If you replace the plugs go iridium, there are only two brands I will use personally.

ACDELCO Part # 41101

or

NGK Part # 7164 TR55IX

They have some other NGK'* that sound pretty good, they may be a tad better than the TR55IX'*, they are TR4A15 Laser Iridium plugs.

Hmmm, the TR55IX'* are laser welded also, so I am not sure how much difference there are between the plugs, and since I have only heard of others with 3800 II'* use the TR55IX'*, they are the only NGK'* I can personally recommend.

Yes i installed it that way mike! & as far as air filter goes i tend to use Wix air filters.. I believe the IAC was in deed the problem here though. But i am gonna gonna clean the MAF sensor.. Could i just spray it wit carb cleaner!? Or any specific way of cleaning it?

No , use a cleaner specific for mass air flow sensor

i use the one by CRC
