If it was bad you would have a DTC light. So no check engine light and the valve should be fine.

It should be clicking a short time after reaching a temp I think above 100f its fine that what its suposed to do. I had to replace mine and it wasnt clicking, it does now !

try it when the engne is stone cold under 100 bet it doesnt click then

bowtie4ever Sep 18, 2010 07:07 PM

Yes Sir, I did that this afternoon and it clicks upon starting cold and never stops. Thanks

Humm well as far as i know the failure is when it doesnt click therefore it doesnt relieve the fuel pressure. I cant see any problem with it clicking it means its purging, I dont think it can over puge or it should throw a code

GOLDFINGER22; That makes sense to me,must be working(no codes). Im going to the salvage yard sunday for some other stuff, ill pick up another one in case it clicks itself to death, at least ill know when it stops it died. Thanks for all your help.

when mine needed replacing it was throwing a code and building up tons of pressure in the fuel tank when you removed the cap. I replaced it at the cost of 22.00 it was never clicking.

The new one will not click when you first start it but very shortly after it starts and then never stops. If you pull the line off you feel it sucking when its clicking so it must be sucking the pressure off.

It has never built pressure since nor has the cel on
