Talking park assist sensor question

Hi everyone,

My name is John and I own a 2010 Buick Lacrosse, which I like very much, BUT I've been having problems with my Park Assist Sensors. I have 50,000 miles on it and have owned it since May 2010. As you can see, I like to drive!!

My question is: I had my park assist service light come on on or about 2/20/12 with odometer reading 32013. I was replaced under warranty, in which they installed a sensor kit. In Jan 2013, the same problem occurred with 48000 miles. Even though this sensor kit was installed within one year, but over 12000
miles, it is not covered under warranty. I must say on my initial visit in 2012, they said the problem was caused by RR sensor failed test. Should they have replaced the defective sensor or replace the whole system with a new kit??

I'd love to hear a response. Thanks folks. John

John welcome to forums. Most dealers will warranty work for 1 year and you are not that far past for a re-occurrence. If dealer says no it is not under warranty you may want to contact GM customer service and see if they can help.
I am sure as with most newer car systems, specific read codes determine repairs required.
If you can post the specific codes others may be able to ad more regarding the park assist problemo.
Lets us know what happens.

i think they should do it under warranty also if the same sensor went there is either something else wrong causing the sensor to go or you got a junk sensor. if it was something else they misdiagnosed it while in the warranty period. if its a junk sensor again you would think they would still cover it because obviously they should last longer than that
