Oh yeah, you reminded me, I also have a brand new AC Delco blower motor and cooling tube on hand, of course the AC and Heat still work, just the nipple for the cooling tuber broke off, so I had to buy a new motor.

Water leaks are the worst issue I have had to deal with, having to strip the car of all interior trim, and all seats/carpet to me is a pain in the ***, I help off for so long because I did not want to throw the seats in the middle of my dining room floor, literally that is the only space I could have put them, my storage room is stacked and packed..

As for the 2006 Grand Prix GT, I want to take it somewhere to have it looked over, but I am not sure I'll be able to, the situation is complicated, I need my brother to go with me to drive a car back, and he'll only be able to go with me once, the guy that has the car will be taking off of work to meet me, which won't be till about 4:00 PM, I have to wait for my brother to get home from work.
The guys bank closes at 5:00 PM, so I planned to look it over with my brother, from top to bottom, and give it a test drive.
Then hopefully have enough time to make it to the guys bank so he can pay off the loan, and clear the title for me.
The guy gave me the VIN, so I'll get a Carfax before going down there.

I could still opt to spend 8k and go for that 64k mile Chrysler 200, but the fact that the guys cannot understand me, and I cannot understand them, it makes it hard to deal with them.
It is a good deal if that 200 is in solid condition though, the body and all on it looks great, as does the interior.

I kind of just like that I know a bit more about the 3800 motors, even if it is a series 3, I know more about it than the Chrysler motor.
And with the Grand Prix, once I am sure it is in tip top running shape, and I am making money, then I could easily mod a few things to add a lil more HP, which is something I have always wanted to do, nothing real crazy though.
It already has a CAI, so I'd probably just change the thermostat to a 180F one, go one heat range colder on the plugs, reduce the SC Pulley to a 3.60" to add like 2lbs of boost, change the belt to a Gatorback 3800 Supercharger Belt, and get a basic PCM Tune.
Of course after doing so little I'd still probably need it Dyno'd to make sure the tune is just right..

Then again maybe I am just dreaming, but sometimes dreams come true.

If I understand right they plan to stop making the Chrysler 200 that could make the value drop like a rock.
Or could make it go up like hummers did.
If it had a 2.7 motor don't walk away RUN!!!
One of the worse motors ever made bottom ends knocking at 30k.
If the water pump starts to leak out the weep hole water goes in the oil.
Some one thought hey lets drive the water pump by the timing chain

Thanks for the feedback, the 200 had a 2.4L L4 DOHC 16V motor.
And I found out just now from another dealer that structural damage to the unibody is not that bad really, they told me if the wrecker hooks the chain to it to pull it up onto the truck for transport, if the hook scratches the unibody a little they have to report that.
He told me it was no where near as bad as a salvaged title..

Well let me tell you about the car business as I have been in it for 26 years and set up to buy cars for 10 car dealers at car auctions.
First ANY!!! prior rental car will NEVER !!! show a bad Carfaxs .
They are all self insured and NEVER report any thing to Carfax.
They common get rear ended and they just put a new bumper cover on and you cant tell until you look were the spare goes and see that its all smashed up.
Here is what you want to do open the hood look for wrench marks on the hood and fender bolts and all the doors and the truck lid.
Then look under the front bumper and back and look for DOT stickers that means they been replaced.
When you have every thing open look for tape lines were things could have been painted feel the edges factory paint is smooth.
Structural damage is VERY BAD!!! no wrecker driver is going to call up Carfax and say {hey I ripped the frame rail because I don't know what I am doing}Carfax gets there
information ONLY from police reports or paid out insurance reports.
Structural damage means in a wreck the car wont crumple to protect people like the factory intended it to.
As far as a salvaged title the car is worthless if you ever trade it in the only exception might be a theft recovery.
If you cant put the car on a lift to look at the bottom lay down and look under it both sides front and rear open the trunk pull back the carpet look at every thing its amazing what damage the carpet will hide.
Don't just believe a Carfax they are wrong 40% of the time look at the car like your going to put your old mother in it !!!

Went out to start the PA today to let oil circulate through the motor, and I look up, then down, then in the back, my interior lights are back on... lol
Not sure how, or why, but they came back on all of a sudden.

I wish I had more room to work on the car, if I had a garage I'd take the seats and all out, and get it back in decent shape, but I just don't have the room, the only place I have to put the seats if I take them out atm is one of my hallway'*, lol

See.. if you would have installed the bilge pump sooner, it wouldn't have taken so long to dry out !

I guess that could have been what it was, funny thing is there is an inch of water in the rear floorboard, I need to drain it, and as soon as we have a hot/sunny day, let it dry out, then cover it with the tarp I bought..

I still think it could have possibly been.

Maybe the lights will stay on now, so make sure you tarp it well this coming year too..

Yeah drain holes are sounding good, I just worry about what the water will do when it drains, just my luck it runs out the hole I drill, then runs down some major structural area, then rusts it to hell, lol
I'm going to get it dried out and cover it up till I can find time and money to do something with it, unless somebody bites on my Craigslist ad, if they do I may just let it go...
Just seen that damn P1870 transmission slipping code again, I had not seen it in over two years, last time I seen it I changed the fluid and filter, and put some shudder fix from lubeguard in, and it was good to go...
Sounds like it may need that again, and maybe a shift kit, sigh..
