EGR Valve Cleaning Question
Do I need to remove and clean the copper tubes that go to the EGR valve? Or just the valve itself? The reason why I ask is: If I had to remove those two tubes that run to the EGR, I would have to remove the throttle body to get to them. If I have to remove the throttle body, then I might as well clean the throttle body and EGR at the same time. I was hoping I could clean the throttle body and EGR on separate occasions.

Leave the feed and delivery tubes alone. Get a new gasket, remove the EGR, clean it, and re-install.
The linear EGR you have isn't as responsive to cleaning as the older digital EGR'* that last appeared in 1993, but it sometimes helps. If you're not having issues, I'd shy away from it though.

Willwren,
Thankyou Sir for your feedback. I was hoping I wouldn't have to "mess" with the feed tubes. The reason I was thinking about cleaning the EGR was because I have developed a slight rough Idle issue. I'm sure it wouldn't bother the guys with the solid engine mounts, but it does... bug... me.
