Radio plays 1 station full volume.
My 2003 Lesabre, with factory installed radio, cassette, and CD player, will blast one radio station louder than any other radio station. When I press the seek button the radio will stop on the same radio station and will blast the radio station at full volume even though I have the radio volume **** turned down to the lowest setting. I don't think Speed-Compensation Volume (SCV) is to blame. Regardless of what volume setting I use, the radio will blast the same radio station full blast.
I already blew out my passenger front speaker.
Does anyone know how I can turn down the volume on the one radio station?

sounds to me like a problem with one of 2 things. a) you're antenna is going bad and that station is closest to you, or b) dolby'* noise reduction is malfunctioning.
i would replace the stereo, seems like the more likely culprit. you can get one at the junk yard or ebay from around $35.00

Unfortunately, its going to cost him more than that. If he swaps out OEM for OEM, he will have to go to a dealer that has a Tech2 and have the radio programmed with his VIN#. Otherwise, the new radio won't work.
His other option would be to install an aftermarket stereo.

depends on if his car has the data bus connector or not. some of the newer lesabres didnt.
if it has 2 connections on the back of the stereo instead of one, thats a yes. if its only got one, you can pull a stereo from any lesabre with the single connection and be good.

Program it? No.
Replace the whole HU to avoid that loud station? Yes.

you could set your presets and not include that station. just surf you're presets. could also buy a cheapo FM modulator designed to plug into an mp3 player and set it to that station, so its always dead.
