it says 2000 pa. which uses abs wheel sensors to measure distance and converts that to pressure by a calculation. not very accurate and you have to be moving

As Justin says, your car uses differences in readings between wheel speed sensors to determine if one wheel'* air pressure is off. A flat tire will rotate at a higher rate of speed than a fully inflated one. The system will say pressure is normal until you start driving, which obviously you would not do with slashed tires.
