Default Park Ave Cabin Filter

My 2002 Park Avenue has a stuck cabin filter. I can see pine needles etc. behind it so I'm certain it is a mess. How do I get the stupid thing out - there is nothing to grab onto. I pulled the white tab and it just broke off. I had a problem with little heat and assumed it was the blend actuator, now I am quite certain it is just a packed up filter.

I think this is the same set up as your Park Ave.

You can always use a shop vac to get the excessive gunk out before you pull the filter out.

Unfortunately, this is the model where the filter is in 3 pieces and installs behind the accelerator pedal. Access is abysmal and there is no way to get past the first part'* white plastic end panel. (The cover that you remove first is also white - but that is off.)

I got it. I had to make a hole and get behind the plastic with a long 90 degree angle scribe. Brute force did the rest. No damage and I'll endure the bad air before I replace it.
Thanks.

Had mine changed last year, my mechanic said it was a real pain to do. Can it just be removed & eliminated ? Thanks

there is a reason why thats there, you dont want the junk that clogs the filter in your evap/heater core

i had to screw a sheet metal screw into mine, then i pulled the screw with a pair of pliers. mine was so nasty you could drop some seeds in it and start a garden.
