Hello. I have been trying many things to fix my cluster for a while now. Gages don't work. Recently I was working on some wiring in the IP fuse box. I angered it and saw some sparks. I failed to disconnect the battery before I started. Lesson learned.
Mainly injured was the wire for the Crank, Cluster, PCM fuse. It left the car unable to start, not turning over, no crank. (No surprise). I got the car running by tapping an unused location that has power, wired over to the crank fuse. It works, but I would like to correct the issue. Some of the candidates have been crank sensor, cam sensor, ignition switch etc. But I always find something to rule out. Neutral safety switch? Any advice would be appreciated. P.*. It is a good idea to disconnect battery first, it would have saved me some problems.

the fuse box under the hood I guess?
have you pulled it out and taken the center bolt out that holds the wiring harness in?
so you can look for damage

For the underhood fuse box: I have checked all the fuses and relays with multimeter. They are all good, tho when the problem first occurred, the underhood crank fuse did blow. I changed it and it has been fine since. I have been inside the underhood fuse block. It comes apart in sections. I haven't taken them apart and out yet, I will give that a try. Thank you.

if it starts and runs and no sign of anything melted I would say its ok not to bother much looking at the under hood fuse box
if more then one gauge is not working most likely
its a bad cluster
it wont hurt looking at the wiring if your really worried as it comes apart
with some small effort
You might want to remove the battery to do it
then you can fold it over to the battery tray area when you take it apart
