Ever Change Or flush your power steering fluid?

Bought a '97 Park Ave about 3 weeks ago and changed installed a water pump & then onto doing fluids like Tranny fluid, engine oil. Knowing the power steering fluid often gets neglected, and steering was a bit stiff, I suctioned out the aging power steering fluid.

I used a 14 inch rubber hose to get into the pump reservoir that is back in there deep. The fluid was dirty and replaced it to the correct level with LubeGard Universal PS fluid.

The pump became quiet immediately, and I am pleased to say the steering feels a bit lighter now. I will suction out the reservoir again in a few weeks to remove more of the old dirty fluid, and get to a clean base again.
Try the lubegard you will be pleasantly surprised! Good on seals too!

Good to hear it helped. Not something I do very often.

I change mine once every 6 months cause it is a hydraulic fluid

Thanks for the timely reminder. I have had my car almost 4 years now, and it is starting to need attention.

To compliment the new power steering fluid, :bulb:today got a 4 wheel alignment.
The front (both sides) was slightly out, however the L rear was out quite a bit.
It now feels & rides like new. ha ha factory fresh...:)
