Question 92 Park Ave Stalling issues

In the past 4mos I have been having a problem with my 92 Buick Park Ave.

My car would not start after I had made a few stop/starts. It would take it anywhere from 10-45minutes to start again. It sounds like it needs gas...and yes there is gas in it! Now it will stall on me while driving, this of course if very dangerous, I have stalled in the middle of busy intersections and if any of you have tried to push a 92 Buick Park Avenue you know how heavy they are, being a female it is a bit tough

This is what has been done so far

new battery, starter, fuel filter, pcv valve, plugs & wires, air cleaner, ICM & thermostat and gas cap and fuel treatments.

I cannot afford to take it to a shop.

Any suggestions?????

sounds like the crank position sensor. they get heat soaked and fail but are fine cold and are attached to the engine

fairly common, and difficult to troubleshoot because it never throws a code and is running fine most of the time

It does run good most of the time and it seems to only act up when it starts getting hot out. The car has almost 240k miles but it runs good when it doesn't stall. My dad helps me a lot but hates working on cars. I came up with the ICM being the issue so he replaced it for me...now I guess I need a crank position sensor!!!

Do you think it could be anything with the fuel pump? I had it replaced about 2yrs ago, the "floater" was not adjusted or whatever so my gas light never comes on, I can't let my gauge get too much past the 1/4 mark or I will run out. I don't want it to be the pump because my dad just can't drop the tank on his own!

doesnt seem likely the pump. they dont stall related to heat(outside or engine). actually the problem with it is the tank baffles, old school guys bang the heck out of it to see if the pump will work as a diagnostic tool. inevitably all older cars end up with broke baffles and you cant let it go under a 1/4 tank because the gas can get away from the pump pickup with the baffle broke off
