cooling fan help

I have found a couple wire diagrams that are as close as i can find to my model. So my first question is which one is more likely to be like mine? Also, according to whatever diagram it seems to be, how would i go about wiring up a switch to control high speed fans? I think i may have it figured out but i am not sure and i don't wanna mess up anything. Please Help

here are the links to the diagrams

Search on "Fan Override" by Willwren. You should get his install with wire colors and all.

Basically you need to ground the inupt to the relay

i have 3 relays and i believe different wire colors. I was hoping these diagrams would help. Thanks

Ok..well..according to that diagram your high speed command comes from the ECU on the lt Grn/black wire. This wire is grounded for both relays C and D

If you look at your relays find the two with a Lt Grn wire w/black tracer going to cavity 1. then test it with a multimeter with the ac on and off. When the ac is kicked on it should become grounded.

than you simply wire one side of a switch to ground and the other side to this wire.

Thanks..thats what i was thinking but wasn't sure. Some reassurance is nice once in awhile.I will give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks again

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Test for continuity between ground or neg battery terminal and that wire when the ac is on and off. That'll show you if it's grounded for the fans. I'm very sure it is..but you don't want to hurt your ECU by hooking up something wrong. After you verify it gets grounded..then you can tap it and expect the fans to come on... ;)

Don't worry i am going to test all the wires first..sorry i should have been a little more clear on that in my last post.. :D

Ok 1 more question, i tested wires for cooling fan override and on the the high speed relay only 1 fan runs, so my question is for those of you who have the override switch. Do you only have one fan or both? Probably just another stupid question but i figured i would ask anyway.

Both of mine run. But you have a Regal. It doesn't necessarily work like ours.

I have 3 relays, you only have 2 right?
