Default Bad Day with Park ave...

Below Freezing outside- Brake Pedal Went to Floor-NO BRAKES! Leak outside around front passenger area, looks like it may need a new line.. hard 2 tell alone..fluid everywhere..
Carefully moved it after topping up DOT 3 using only gears and E-brake, to the closet repair shop. Left it there til they open Monday with key left in door slot, and note reading...
Good morning My blue Pk Ave has stranded me for the first time with an outside brake fluid leak in pass front area. Please treat this oldie but goodie to some TLC and estimate repairs that are needed with my ph number ... FUN! (Not)
I am now 35k from home with a "loaded" car with goodies for home. No time to get back home and get jeep, so I rent a 2014 Caravan for a day, to assist in shorter trip time.
Luckily rental car was not that far away and still open...

Why on a modern vehicle do I have to turn the headlights on at night without auto sensors like the PA? only daytime'* were on...
Considering how high tech this dash is, I find it surprising it has no auto headlight sensors..it is no wonder why u see so many drivers at night with no tail lights...

Anyways the caravan is ok but not my style. Will return it later today, and have someone drive me back home again where I can use the jeep. while I await the hopefully good news about the Buick on Monday?

Sorry to hear about that Art. If you need factory brake lines and have time, I may be able to pull them at a rust free pick a part Phoenix yard.

That van is pretty close to the Chrysler Town and Country I rented this past summer.

Yet, I believe its a GM thing with the auto lights. I haven't seen another brand do it.

I was surprised to see a friends F-150 with a selectable switch with night auto.
However he recently called me asking, when in park how do I get em to turn off?
I told him to google it and he called me back and said thanks, just one relay and all ok now.
In the PA in park, u just use the slider, move to left, to turn off lights at night.

Michael, thanks for your offer to go out to wreckers for me! That would be above and beyond the call of duty!
No worries though, the shop it is at will be able to repair the line as I know him, and he has brake lines there, and should be able to do a custom bend...
I'll post a reply what happens next as soon * I know what going on...

Sorry to hear about the brake issue Art, glad it did not happen while you were going fast on the interstate or something!
Hopefully it is an easy fix, and not a costly one!

Art Replied :
Thanks William, I hope it will not be too expensive as well.
I'm nervously awaiting an answer on the problem/estimate. Call in the am to see if he has time to look at it on Monday.
The rental car is back and going to use the liberty to work, etc until this issue is resolved.
