Did I blow a gasket?
I'll start by saying I own a 1995 Riviera, Series One L67.
I believed I blew my head gasket, but after reading around these forums and seeinga taht no one seemed to have that problem, I'm not so sure.
Here are my symptoms:
The car dumped oil out all of the sudden, after leaking it for a little bit. The pan is dry as can be.
Overheats almost right away.
Rust and other accumilated gunk in the radiator, looks like oil maybe.
I can't seem to find a manual for the Series One, and don't know how far I should, or can, tear down the engine while it'* in the car.

Lets try to get a little clearer here...
The engine dumped its oil? Are we talking on the ground? Is it mixed with the Coolant? Is there coolant in the oil?

Yes to two, no to one.
It was leaking oil for a little while there, but I was working 70 hour weeks so just put a half quart in a week.
When it started running hot I checked the coolant and there was what apeared to be rust and evidence of oil (you can see it on the top, but not in a layer or anything.
There'* no coolant in the oil that I can see at all, not on the dipstick or in the filter.
When I said it 'dumped the oil' I mean I was driving, it started to really run hard, started to hear clunking and knocking in the engine so I pulled over and checked the oil and the dip stick was clean. I believe it'* on the road somewhere now.

Tearing down a S1 is, although unadvisable, doable while in the car. The only thing you won't be able to take out is the crankshaft if you have to go that far.
Head gaskets generally do not blow. HOWEVER...and this was witnessed by several members on this forum...the heads CAN WARP if overheated long enough. I suspect your lower manifold gaskets are at fault here, but (and this is important) if oil and coolant mixed and you didn't drain the oil from the engine, count that motor toast.
EDIT: Did you throw a rod and puncture the oil pan? Oil just does not disappear unless there is a huge gaping hole in your oil pan.

Being a series I L67 this engie should have an oil cooler... Check the lines all the way back to the filter as well as the oil filter adapter and make sure you weren't leaking along those lines... Its rare for the oil pan gaskets to leak like Sive... But being that you said the pan was dry I'll hazzard a guess and say its not the oil pan...
after checking for the oil leaks you may want to check for radiator, hoses and the like for leaks...
Being a 95 you may be due for a set of lower intake gaskets as well and being in Miami you may want a lower temp thermostat..
Now the question is, have you been loosing coolant? And does the car still run?

I just recently replaced the T-stat and water pump. There'* been no loss of coolant since then.
The engine will turn over, and I'm rather sure that the car will drive, but I havn't wanted to rist doing more damage so I got it home and have left it there for a few days.
I have never seen coolant in the oil, and I checked the oil daily when it started to leak out. I'm hoping I havn't cooked my heads.
