so apparently park avenues try to roll up windows against the laws of physics or something. every park ave with over 100k ive sen has this problem on the front windows. i replaced the regulator after making this video and its the sme exact problem, but even worse with the junkyard regulator. also, disregard the "catches" its really just the broken off tooth on the motor that this has caused. i also replaced the motor lol. any advice is greatly appreciated.

i should also note, it moves smooth as butter out of the door or without the window attached. but the seals arent binding or anything, which has me confused. window also moves without the regulator attached pretty easily

Brand new parts maybe? lol.i have a similar issue with my lesabre.it rolss down about halfway n stops then will only go back up in sections when it decides.but it dont bug me so i just leave it up lol.Honestly i would just get a new motor and brand new regulator.

well problem with that is the parts stores dont have it because its so big. the handle and everything is riveted on with it.... and i really, truly dont want to pay delco prices lol.

lol. its gotta be sometthing easy. i mean whas putting up such a fight that it breaks the rivet to the point you need to spot weld it? im wondering if the rubber tracks in the door dont shrink or something. because it gets worse when its cold or humid. might try some silicone lube and see what happens.....

yeah lubing it all up will prob help..

I have fixed a few slow windows by putting silicone lube on the runners that hold the glass in place.
However it seems over time the runners swell and grip the glass too tight, in those cases I adjusted the runners until all was smooth again.

If your replacement motors haven't done the trick I think thats where your problem lies.

sometimes the old grease gets klingey, and if you spray the heck out of everything, point rails etc... with wd40 it seems to displace the old grease and make it smooth. sometimes it attracts dirt though. on door hinges and stuff i use white lithium grease spray, but again you have to clean the old grease out first.

well, i finally got around to going to the autozone today and bought some silicone lube. that junkyard regulator is toast already. came loose at that rivet and its floppy now. cant even push it down like the original tack welded one. but after taking a close look at the regulator half of the track (attached to the regulator) i can see how they swell up in the cold/humidity. so im going to try the silicone on these dry *** seals back and front so they cant absorb anything and if that doesnt work i guess ill go from there.

well, its ****-pouring rain since thanksgiving night and not gonna stop till it turns into flurries tomorrow night. so in the mean time i took some 100% acetone to every friction surface with grease on it and removed all the old grease thats now the consistency of dried tree sap. i also adjusted the one adjustable track at what i think will provide the least resistance when rolling down. but at the end of the day, it moves so easily in my house without the motor attached (just the spring helping) i still think its the tracks. im debating just going out with a tarp because im impatient.
