My parents have a 1993 Park Ave Ultra and it is like riding on cloud nine as far as a soft ride is concerned. They have the Gran Touring Suspension in it which is a bit stiffer than the Dynaride they had in their 1992 Park Ave Ultra (which they just sold about 1-2 months ago).
The 1997-1998 is pretty much the same when it comes to the roominess, which comes with great abundance.
The Ride quality was improved slightly from what I hear.
The people that bought my 1993 SSE two years ago kept talking about how they loved their 1997 Park Ultra, which had replaced their 1994 Park Avenue (non Ultra). They were buying the SSE from me for their daughter (who backed into a gravity box the first time she drove it, breaking the drivers rear tail lights, damaging the trunk and drivers quarter panel) :x

Good luck.
P.S. I have noticed that a 1997-1998 Ultra can be had for fairly cheap lately -have seen a few with right around 100k with asking prices in the $4500-$5500 range lately up hear in MN.

Yea, I am going to test drive a 95' SC'd LSS this weekend, which I beleive is actually slightly lighter than the SSEi. BTW; all supercharged 3800 have the 2.97 axle.

We test drove a 99 Park Avenue ultra once. WOW that car was fast, it rode like a dream and was comfortable as could be!

How did you like the HUD in it? If memory serves me correct 1999 was the first year for HUD in the Park Avenue Ultra.

First post; I own a '97 Park Avenue Ultra as a family hauler. Picked it up from the original owner; it's a strong runner and good cruiser. In the past, I've usually driven performance cars, and am thoroughly impressed with the L67. I'm going intercooler, and think this car would be a real hoot with 300+ rwhp.

I also drive a very clean '95 SHO 5-speed, and am surprised the support/technical network for L67's doesn't appear to be any where near as strong; perhaps I need to improve search skills.

Welcome to the club. 300+ rwhp(rear wheel horsepower) would be a real hoot but I think you meant fwhp(unless your doing some serious modifications).

Also, I think you maybe surprised of the vast knowledge these "young'ns" here possess about ANY of the G, H, and C bodies on this forum. Go ahead.....make their day.

Ol' Timer, you're correct to point out my error. I drove Mustangs for many years, but I think this Buick will remain fwd  I'm still gunning for 300 hp on the dyno...

Ooooh!!! If you do intercool that ultra be sure to trade me for my SSEi. I would kill to have a Park Ultra with 275+ hp.
