You should be able to adjust that by flipping a small tab and lifting the whipper off the the splined shaft, then put it back in the correct position.

then it shortens the travel and only wipes part of the sheild. Its something that usually triggers the motor to pull the wipers down when you shut it off thats not working.

Ouch!!! Had this happen to my 92 Park Ave. It happened when I turn the wipers on still froze to the windshield, and never figured out just what happened. Pain in the azz.

Ok I did the tests the manual said and it points to the wiper motor. How hard is this to disconnect the wiper motor arm >> Should I buy a junkyard one or new ??

If you can find one at the junk yard at a good price. Go that way. Otherwise this place has some great prices.

Personally, I've never done one. Hey Bill, you changed a whipper motor?

Well...A new one is like 100.00 a used junk yard one is 65.00. I do not know 100% if its that or not only going by the shop manual and it points to the park switch which is in the motor so they say chg the motor.

Now the wipers work fine its just that they sit about where they do when set to delay, just up 2" on the sheild. I am tempted to just leave them alone as they are not in my vision. It looks like 3 bolts and pop the knuckle off the arm and disconnect the wire block.

Also someone stole one of my chrome center caps, this is about the fifth one....
