That might be the knock sensor you disconnected.
Follow the upper rad hose back to the engine and look underneath it somewhere for a harness/sensor.

I looked all around the area of the upper water hose. There is an intake temp sensor, two other plugs that go into the throttle body.
I just cant see any other sensors that go into a water line! I took some pics, will take some time to upload.

Here are two pics that show all the sensors/connects in that area. First photo show air intake sensor and two sensors facing into the throttle body.
Second photo shows unknown sensor, but it does not appear to match any of the coolant temp sensors.

It'* on the LIM, directly under the throttle body. I knew exactly where to look on the Regal, and I couldn't see it, although I could see the wires going to it.

This is where it is on my Park Avenue. I remember having a clear view of it when I was doing LIM gaskets on it, which was probably when the UIM was off.

I can see the EGT sensor, but nothing goes to the coolant. I'd like to know where before I start ripping the motor apart.
What is LIM?
