2000 Lesabre Trans Interchange
215,000 miles and the tranny quit. Sheared the shaft on the 4th od but now it appears that there is also no drive after making the car a town cruiser. Anyone actually know which GM trans will interchange? I hear that Monte Carlo, Impala may work if it is the same year and ratio. Can anyone lend some advise?
Thanks

I believe it may be Lesabre and Bonneville out of a 2000 only. You will need to get the tag number off of yours to correctly identify it. They used two different ratios and two different tags for each ratio.

Looks like there are 4 different transmissions:
A.T., FWD, 2.86 ratio (opt FQ3), ID PAB
A.T., FWD, 2.86 ratio (opt FQ3), ID PPB
A.T., FWD, 3.05 ratio (opt F83), ID PBB
A.T., FWD, 3.05 ratio (opt F83), ID PCB
From the info that I saw, it was 2000 Bonneville and LeSabre only. You have to match letter codes.
