'93 Park Ave Starting issue

I got into my park ave and went to start. The dashboard lights and the radio came on but no other noise and the car failed to start. I turned it off and tried again. Same thing. I turned it off and tried once again. The exact same thing. The fourth time, the car started like I had never had an issue getting it to start the other three times. I am the 3rd owner and have owned my car a month. The engine was recently serviced including spark plug wire replacement and general tune up. The people who owned the car before me were both meticulous in their servicing of the car so it's had all required maintenance. No fluid leaks of any kind and the engine doesn't run rough. The oil is changed on a frequent basis of every 3000 miles. The car had half tank of fuel so I know I wasn't low on fuel.

the easiest thing to do is have someone turn the key while you measure the the little wire at the starter, if you have 12v there and it doesnt start its the starter. if you dont its either the ign or something in the safety circuit you will have to track down the wire with a meter and follow it to see if yo get the voltage out of the switch or not

In addition to what JW said, check the battery cable connections, that they are clean and tight....wouldn't hurt to check connections at the starter and chassis ground too....

Another thing you can do, is just turn the key to "on", not crank....observe the SECURITY light.....it should come on and then go out in three seconds...if it does, now turn to crank.....if it doesn't crank, problem is in the starter circuit(starter, P/N switch, crank relay, ignition switch, wiring, etc.)...

If the Security light stays on, and then the engine doesn't crank when the key is in the crank position, 99% of the time it's the wiring from the ignition lock cylinder....over time, due to flexing, it may break....if it breaks inside the insulation....you can have an intermittent problem.....if the wire AND the insulation breaks, it will never start( unless the full break happens after the car has started......then the Security light will come on while driving.....however, the car will still continue to start, and the light will never go out...kind of a backup mode.....a theft code will be set......if you ever clear the code or disconnect the battery, then the backup mode is cleared, and the car will no longer crank)....

The two fixes for this situation are replace the lock cylinder(and key), or install a resistor with the same value as your ignition key, in the circuit to the lock cylinder......
