Default Torque converter clutch pulse solenoid

Ok DIYers, I need Help... 2000 buick century custom. Put car on quality scanner and receive a p1860b code. This is a torque converter clutch pulse width modulated solenoid. Symptoms: at speed, is like a miss or downshift feel. this was at first. now getting surges and jerks at start and at speed. It happens a lot but is not constant. Last night and this morning no problems at all. Do you think changing the solenoid will cure this problem.

check the things list for resistance and voltage, the trans has to come down and the side cover has to be removed to change the solenoid so make sure as you can before
