Question 08 Lucerne with power lock issues

Hello all, I am newe here and thought I would ask a question about a Lucerne that I just got. It is an 08 cxl and I have noticed that the driver rear power lock actuator is having issues. I work when it wants to in either the lock or unlock, it does not discriminate it hates both equally. I am trying to figure out if there is a cheap fix for this as in lubrication or if it has to replaced. If replacement is the answer then are there any other years out there that will fit and have a longer life span then 11K miles. Any help on this would be appreciated.

welcome to the site. i would check that first, see if there are rods in there that require cleaned and lube. then while the cover was off i would check the connector and see if its loose.

I got the panel off and cleaned up the attachment points for rods and the pivot point. I then lubed them with a silicone grease. I also checked the electrical connection and it was tight. I am thinking the little motor inside is on its way out but hoping it is not as those little bastards are a bit salty. I saw somewhere the the 2011 actuator worked for someone else but I wanted to verify first. The cost for the 11 actuator is half the cost of the 08. Anymore ideas and thanks for the welcome.
