I did have the transmission fluid changed, with fairly dramatic positive results. I did not add the 'magic' fluid, but did use Dextron VI for the fluid change.
Now, once the car has warmed up, the transmission behaves very, very well. I'd say the shifts are good, and all the way from a stop to top speed, the transmission shifts very well -- smoothly.
Until it warms up, I can tell nothing is tremendously smooth, with the transmission having difficulty, almost 'catching', at around 35-40 and again around 55-60.
If I am very gentle and back off acceleration, I can nurse the transmission past those points.
The car starts easily enough, but I wouldn't say it runs great until it warms up -- the idle seems off, high possibly. Until it warms up, the car feels 'shuddery.'
Appreciate the feedback, sorry for the delay.
I would focus all my attention on the engine. The tranny may be fine. No lights or codes?
