Are you looking for something like a CAI(cold air intake), or K&N, or FWI(Fender Well Intake)?

Last I knew, our line of cars, don't have much "retail" intake modifications. Most intake mods are done custom, using universal parts, which require moving things around in the engine bay.

yeah i figured as much. i was thinking just something that will improve upon the 96 design. I just want to turn the ultra into a reliable sleeper. my baby just hit 160k and despite my hate for this automatic tranny and wanting to get a new car thats 5/6 speed that handles better... i want to keep the Ultra as my auto luxury/ish cruisin car because it is arguably a great car. just need to keep her maintained. for some reason right around 2000 rpms when i drive i can hear a grugg grugg grugg noise that sounds like it might be tranny but as soon as i go above it goes away but i can every time it grinds i feel for my park ave. she has been a faithful one. and i want to see her have many more journeys. put it to you this way, my supercharger belt is off, i have bought a new one but havent attatched it yet due to the notorious motor mount. just so hard to get time and motivation when you work 9-8pm selling nicer cars all day. glad i have a forum to keep in touch with other like myself. thanks guys

I'm not familiar with the supercharged ones. Matter of fact, I just upgraded my L36 to L67. So, as far as troubleshooting, that stuff is kinda out of my league. But we do have many others here that are familiar with the system that should chime in soon.

When you do finally put that belt in, you might as well replace the other one at the same time. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

on the topic.. is there anyone out there with a park avenue ultra that has successfully changed the supercharger belt without having to take out the motor mount? I have heard it is possible but if anyone knows/has done this successfully please let me know.

You don't have to take out the engine mount. Just remove the lower right bolt/spacer and you can change them both out.

Dan has an excellent write up in the TechInfo section on the belt replacement.

Is any of this possible or should i just be happy my buick has a supercharger and doesnt come with a handicapped sticker lol i just dont understand how people can tune their pontiacs and chevys with the same exact motor? but no aftermarket is available is you say its in a buick... is there that much of a difference?

Oh geez! When it comes to the L67, mods are plentiful! Everything can be changed nowadays. Pistons, connecting rods, superchargers, electric water pumps, belts, sparkplugs, injectors, tuning, oh the list goes on!

Here is a trivia question for ya. What was the first FRONT wheeled drive car ever to break the 200MPH record? Would you believe it was a 2000 Bonneville SSEi?! At the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. I belive, it was a few GM engineers that suped up the L67 with more power and I think they estimated close to 700hp. This was without a turbo.

The intake mod is limited based on the body style. Not too many people(grampas LOL) mod their cars. Thus why the limited market and why it has to be custom, but it can be done!
