What is this thing?
Ok bare with me, since I don't know how to post pics on the web. I'm just curious as to what this thing is:
It is located directly below the upper radiator hose, right next to the air cleaner assembly, aft of the the left electric fan. It has a little steel platform that it sits on, and has a large hose connected to it, that turns into tubing going towards the firewall.
It also has what appears to be an upside down black plastic cone with a little filter inside. Any ideas?

MAC, it sounds like you're describing the A/C Receiver/Dryer, but that is on the right side of the engine compartment adjacent to the Underhood Fuse Block. The unit on the left side located on a bracket under the radiator hose is the Electronic Brake Control Module/Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (EBCM/BPMV)

markwb: HOLY SMOKES You are probably right. Of course if I had bought the Helm Inc service manual for $130, I could just go there and find out.
Ol' Timer: ThankYou for trying.
Moderators: Why do you keep kicking my posts over to here? Don't you guys know that a 2000-2005 LeSabre is the closest thing to a 2000-2005 Bonneville?
