Default 97 PA coil springs?

Hey, my brothers PA rides pretty hard we changed the struts to monroe set up as i did mines and its still pretty hard. So my next thought was the coil springs.. Anyone know which springs could give a good smooth soft ride?
He was thinking of grabing the springs off a 02 deville but dont think the springs would fit.. Or maybe they would idk.. But any one know anything about the springs?

sounds like something is bound up its not normally springs, did you give the struts some time to work in? what sort of tires does he have, proper pressures? does it have air suspension, anything done to that?

The dealer has the part numbers for the 97 soft ride springs and struts.
I am going to reuse my soft ride springs as installing new ones would be a harsh ride, as it does take quite a while to break in new springs.
It also takes some time for the new struts to soften up a bit too.
I am also thinking about new monroe struts the other option would be the OEM struts which are considerably more $$ but in the long run may be worth it.

I dont believe anythings bound up.. It was riding harder before but still pretty stiff.. They've been on there for about 2-3months.. Has rear air struts.. And the tires are Yokohama Touring * which are the same tires thats on my PA.. I felt a big difference whn i changed my struts.. Which is what brought me the springs..

I would be assuming that it was a combination between the spring & valving of strut.
FE1 is the RPO code for 1997 soft ride suspension.
I would call the dealer & see if the FE1 has a particular spring mentioned.
My guess is that the 97 was particular as well re the front suspension as it was the first model year and some changes took place incl the lower control arms redesign in 98.

Have seen this many times....customer puts in aftermarket struts, and has a stiffer ride compared to OEM....

Its not the struts, his car has the same struts as my car does.. But rides harder vs mine riding smooth & kinda floaty.. Tha struts tht came off of there were some brand called fcs or fsc and ive never heard of them.. I belive the coil soring on tht strut was made to be stiff! Im asking if any one would recommend anything... They offer MOOG / AC DELCO / & RAYBESTO i believe.. Which would be better?
Or smoother

Didn't think about it before but someone probably put stiff springs in it, I was thinking the original springs don't just get stiff over time. Like Art said you need fe1 springs. I would see if you can find some lower mile oem ones in a junk yard. if you find ones that look like nothing has been replaced and it has fe1 on the rpo sticker that'* the one I would pick
